Welcome to Weir Cook Cadet Squadron (GLR-IN-123). We're a Civil Air Patrol squadron assigned to Group 5, Indiana Wing, Great Lakes Region, Civil Air Patrol - United States Air Force Auxiliary. The squadron serves the Indianapolis, Plainfield, Avon, Browsnburg, Camby, and greater western Indianapolis area through CAP's Aerospace Education, Cadet Programs, and Emergency Services missions.
Weir Cook Cadet Squadron meets at the Aviation Training Center located on the west side of the Indianapolis International Airport. Meetings are held weekly on Mondays from 7:00pm until 9:00pm. Civil Air Patrol encampments are a unique opportunity for young adults between the ages of 12-20 to expand leadership skills and develop into mature young men and women capable of facing challenges of life successfully. With great sadness, the National Cadet Team announces the passing of one of its own, Lt Col Michael Foster, CAP, our national college and flight scholarships manager. Michael died suddenly at his home on March 6th. He was 59 years old. While Michael was an instructor at Air Command and Staff College here at Maxwell in the late 1990s, he had a chance encounter with my predecessor, Col.
